DRABBLES (1-3)

Drabble 1.- Knew you would come

He heard the footsteps heading towards him.
He knew them well, as they noticed him and ran towards him.
He lay there drowning in blood, some his own, most not. He couldn´t speak as his captain called his name, but he couldn´t answer. He´d tried, opening his mouth only caused the blood to spill out of there also.
He felt his captains hand on his arm as the boy shook him and felt the wish to tell him something. He opened his mouth before shutting it again rapidly as he felt blood trickle out of the corners. He´d tell him later, for now he could only think it.
"I knew you would come."

Drabble 2.- Promises

One never knows when life´s going to do it to you.
One moment they´re there, the next you´re alone. All left of them is a promise.
Thats what makes promises important, they live forever, a lot longer then those who make them could imagine. You keep your promises, you create an eternal link between you and this world. You die, but your body becomes part of it and your spirit lingers so as to watch time pass by.
He lit the inscence over her grave and set off in search of their promise so as to keep her spirit alive.

Drabble 3.- Smiling

He was always smiling. Ever since he´d met the kid, the latter had wore that perfectly sincere, unmistakable grin.
Perhaps he was happy. But then, no one was always happy, no?
She also smiled, smiled to hide her true feelings, smiling was a mask for her. That was why he couldn´t trust her.
He´d never understood smiles, either they hid something or they revealed too much. Either way, he didn´t like to smile. He hated to lie, and smiling when he didn´t mean it was as good as lying. And he hated people knowing everything about him, so smiling out of instinct was out of the question.
But, no matter how much he disliked it, he couldn´t help but smile back as his captain´s grin spread, speaking on its own, just like when they first met.
Today it said: "You´re my Nakama, I´ll never leave you." Tomorrow it would say something different, but he knew today the boy would be true to his word.

Well, thats it for today, I have more, but I´ll upload three every day instead of all now, so as to gain a bit more time ^^;
